Big Bang Theory

Bing Bang

On the efforts of Scientists to understand how the universe exist, they collected evidence backing up their theory of Big Bang.

From what they called “the most precise measurements of our infant universe” by the WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe), scientists have found “new evidence that the universe suddenly grew from sub-microscopic to astronomical size in less than the blink of an eye,” said physicist Charles Bennett of Johns Hopkins University, principal investigator for the WMAP spacecraft. Scientist are not contented in the truth revealed by the Holy Bible that the world was created by God alone. They want to prove by themselves to themselves that there is no God who created the world and that their theories are true according to their evidences.

But, do you know that the truth discovered by scientists that the earth is floating in space and that the earth is round, are all written in the Holy Bible? The same with the truth about the existence of the universe…. It was written on the Bible.

Quite contrary to what I know.

The Big Bang theory was formulated by a Catholic Priest, and its purpose was to unite science and religion.

  2. Sueboy says:

When saying that Big Bang Theory was formulated by a Priest is something that contradicted the I Corinthian 4:6 of the Holy Bible:

6Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. (New International Version)

The Big Bang Theory might be written on scientific books, encyclopedia and other books but it was not written on the Holy Bible which Christians believe as the Words of God.

And one thing: Theory is only a theory not a law. It will remain a theory until it is proven true.

  3. ade says:

I’m not saying the Big Bang theory is gospel truth. I know that a theory is NOT law, and it can be disproven. I’m a Catholic.

I’m just saying that the Big Bang theory was not meant to replace creationism, in fact it was meant to unite two opposing sides (religion and science). The catholic priest who formulated the theory is named Georges Lemaître, and he formulated it in 1929.

Now the unification purpose of the theory remains to be seen.

  4. Sueboy says:

Well. I respect and believe in your idea and the fact behind the Big Bang.

The only thing is that: it contradicted my faith and my belief in the Bible.

  5. micketymoc says:

    a) You misunderstand the way scientists use the word “theory”. A theory is a framework of facts that scientists use to explain natural phenomena. Remember, the germ theory of disease is also “just” a theory – but that doesn’t mean the Biblical explanation of “demons” is more accurate.

    b) The Bible supports the Flat Earth model. To “not to go beyond what is written” would also mean we should believe that we live on a pancake-shaped Earth with a solid firmament above us.

    c) Not all scientists are atheists, but good scientists know to trust the evidence more than Scripture. There is just too much evidence out there that supports the Big Bang. Sorry if it contradicts your belief in the Bible, but there it is.

  6. Sueboy says:

    micketymoc: thanks for the input.

    …….

According to the bible: The earth is round

  7. micketymoc says:

That’s a contemporary translation, first published in 1993. (Among other things, “grasshoppers” suddenly becomes “ants”, if you compare this verse with the same one in the King James version.) The contemporary editor’s intention is to modernize all ancient references, which means to translate “circle” into “ball” – when that’s not what the Bible’s authors believed at the time.

The King James version reads differently, at least closer to the original text than the Message translation ever was. Isaiah 40:22 actually promotes a flat-earth view; it doesn’t refute it. “He stretches the heavens out like a curtain” across a flat, circular earth – the verse is entirely consistent with a worldview that looked like this.
