Well there's nothing to argue about your church since St. Ignatius is not found in the bible. Saints like Ignatius became saint in the 2nd century after the death of the apostles. After that there are a lot of Saints untill now made by men. Catholic Church is more on their traditional doctrines which contains the commandments of men after the departure of the apostles.

The Dark Ages

All the history books estimate the Catholic Church tortured and murdered between 50,000,000 to 150,000,000 people that they claimed were heretics. The following two quotes reveal who the Catholic Church refers to as heretics and the quotes that follow these explain and prove why they tortured and murdered these good Christians. It is also worth noting that most of these Christians they killed were actually Catholics themselves that disagreed with what the Church was doing. Select the following to watch a short video of a typical true story of the death of a Sabbath keeper by burning. This and much worse was very common in the Dark Ages by the Catholic Church.

“He is a heretic who does not believe what the Roman Hierarchy teaches.” — The American Textbook of Popery, p 164 (quoting from the “Directory for the Inquisitors”).

“Heretics (those who are not members of the Catholic Church or who do not hold to Catholic doctrine) worship a God who is a liar, and a Christ who is a liar.” — St. Augustine, (quoted in “Patrologiae Cursus Completus: Series Graca”, by Fr. J. P. Migne, Paris: 1866, 42:207).

The word "catholic" means universal. Its first recorded usage in terms of the Church was by St. Ignatius in the early second century. It is clear fairly from the context that he is not using it as a novel term, but as something his readers are familiar with:
"See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
(from "the Epistle of Ignatius to the Smyrnaeans" chapter 7)
The self-titled "Church of Christ" has its origins in late 18th/early 19th century United States, in the Restoration Movement, not the Apostles.
It is clear in scripture and in the writings of the earliest Christians that Jesus founded a visible, universal, united Church, not simply a spiritual community of believers.
