I was referred to by a friend to join a Carnival in promoting my blog. This way of promoting blogs is very much successful according to some of the carnivals participant that I’ve talked with.

But what’s Carnival anyway? According to the Concervative Cat (link), “Carnivals are a technique for showcasing your blog.” Participants of it will send link of the post they want to be included, to the host,  and then the host will format the links into a blog post format.

Actually, when I was still hosting the first Pinoy Bloggers site (link), I used this technique without knowing that it was named already as Carnival. But what I did was just: read my favorite blogs, collect all posts related to the topic I am formatting, and then write a post containing all those collected posts with links to the posts, and post it at the said site.

This technique is interesting, but then it needs a work hard for the host because it’s he who will manage to post a Carnival post.
