It’s a good news to all techno-Filipino especially those in the aero-mechanical field. It is now your chance to win up $1.25 million.
First- and second-place winners of the easier competition will receive $350,000 and $150,000, respectively. Successfully completing the longer flight and more challenging landing will earn a team $1.25 million for first place, $500,000 for second and $250,000 for third. The competition will be staged in October at an annual exhibition of commercial suborbital spaceflight, which this year also will feature the debut of rocket-powered aircraft racers.(ibid)
What the participant should do is to design, build and fly a lunar lander.
NASA plans to award $2 million to a team that can design, build and fly a mission that simulates a lunar takeoff and landing. (ibid)
