Earthquake that shoke the Visayas Area interrupted my blogging activities yesterday.
A mild earthquake in Leyte island brought the island’s power plants to a “protection shutdown,” causing a blackout in the entire Visayas Wednesday. (link)
According to the report, the earthquake was recorded with 3.7 Ritcher Scale at 10:02AM.
The relatively mild quake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck the island of Leyte at 10:02 a.m., the seismology office in Manila said, triggering a chain reaction of power generation units shutting down. (ibid)
I waited for the power to be restored but I lost patience, so I returned home at 2:00PM.
