This post is actually a reaction on a post at Philiblogs “Who’s afraid of the Da Vinci Code” by Francis. The said blogger said:

What I can’t understand is why the Catholic Church is so against a totally fictitious story. Are they afraid Catholics will all want to become Goddess worshippers after watching the movie? Or are they afraid that the foundation by which the Church is built will easily crumble in the face of good acting from Tom Hanks. (link)

Actually, I was thinking that the authorities of the Roman Catholic Church are afraid that Catholics will believe all those things told by the story about the said church. And by reading or watching the Da Vinci Code, Catholics will be awaken on the truth that the church they’re in is not the true Church founded by Christ. They’re afraid that Catholics who watched the movie will encourage to search for the truth about their church, and then they will discover what really happened within the Church centuries past. They’re afraid that their members will discover the inquisition, the pregnant Pope, the Cardinal killing themselves for their Papacy ambition and more truth during the dark ages.

But I wish that even without watching or reading the Da Vinci Code, Catholics will realize that they’re the ones mentioned in the Book of Revelation, who received the mark:

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, (Revelation 13:16, NKJV)

And that the church they’re in, is the one who teaches the doctrines of demon:

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. (I Timothy 4:1,3, ibid)

And that they will also realize that they are the ones mention in Romans 1:22-23, the people who knew God but never glorified God nor thanks to him for all the things they received, instead they give thank Mary and the so called Saints for the blessings the received. Instead of glorifying God for all these things, they glorify the images of those said Saints.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. (Romans 1:21-23, ibid)
