Only The Church of Christ Know
People who claim they’re Christians thought that they already knew God. Of course they believe in God. But is the God they worship the true God? Do they really know who the true God is? According to Apostle Paul, not everyone knows this:
7But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. (I Corinthians 8:7, NIV)
What is this truth that not everyone knows? On the verse prior to the quoted above, the truth that others don’t know is about God and Christ, but on this post let us focus on the truth about God. And according to Apostle Paul, there is but one God, the Father…
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. (I Corinthians 8:6, NIV)
Here, it is clear that there is one God. Who is this God, according to the verse the Father. Whos is the Father, the one God? It’s He from whom all things came and for who we live. Who knows this truth? According to Apostle Paul, “yet for us”.
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. (I Corinthians 8:6, NIV)
In other words, those who know that there is only one God, are Apostle Paul and those he was talking to on this epistle, the members of the church.
2To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christtheir Lord and ours: (I Corinthians 1:2, NIV)
They are members of not any churches but the Church of Christ (see also the name of the church).
The Roman Catholic Church might claim, they knew God. But is the God they’re worshipping the God that the true Church of Christ knew? No, because the God of the Roman Catholic Church is Trinity. One God with 3 Persons. The Catholic doctrine say that the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God.
Let us remember that for the true church, the Church of Christ, there is only one God. The only true God is the Father.
Why is it that outside the true Church this truth is not known to them? It is because Christ prayed to God not for the world but for those God gave Him.
I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. (John 17:9, NIV)
What is the prayer of Christ to God? Christ prayed that they might know that the Father is the only true God.
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:1,3, NIV)
This is the reason why in all Christian Sects and Religions, only the Church of Christ has this teaching, that there is only one God, and He is the Father.

This is noy exactly accurate. There is only one God and He was/is manifested to man by Christ Jesus. That is why Jesus said when we see Him, we see the Father.
(Joh 14:9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father
(Joh 14:10) Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Also, Paul said, “2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”.
There still is ONE Lord-Jesus Christ-who is the Sipirt (2 Cor 3:17) an the Everlasting Father (Isa 9:6).
Thank you very much dropping by.
In John 14:9, Many Christians are confused when Christ said when you see me you have seen God. Yes, it is true that when you see Christ you have seen God but it doesn’t mean that Christ is the God. Just like when I say, if you see me, you see also my father who died earlier.
In John 14:10 doesn’t say that Christ is the Father and that the Father is Christ. what was written is that Christ is in the Father and the Father is in Christ. You are just confused about this truth. But in short, Apostle John didn’t say Christ is the God.
Also in 2Cor 3:17, it was not written to mean that Christ is the God or that God is the Christ.
Anyway, I will write a blogpost regarding these arguments of yours.
thank you very much and enjoy your stay here in my blog.
