Coma – Korean TV Series – DVD English Sub

ComaOCN is one of Korea’s most popular movie cable channels, and now they have entered the world of dramas. Teaming up with Sio Film (makers of Crying Fist), OCN produced the 5-part horror series Coma, which includes a mix of genres from mystery to psychological thriller. Coma puts established names like Yim Won Hee (Three, Extremes, Crying Fist) next to plenty of new faces. With the exception of Gong Su Chang, whose R-Point is one of the most impressive debut films of recent memory, the series is helmed by newcomers. Set in a hospital about to close down because of its negative reputation, the five episodes present different themes in a range of styles, but they connect with each other like puzzle pieces to form a complete picture.

# “Birthday Party” (dir. Gong Su Chang)
Insurance saleswoman Yoon Young (Lee Se Eun) is in charge of the hospital’s last remaining patient Lee So Hee, who is in a coma. While the hospital’s director hopes to avoid taking any responsibility for the patient, chief doctor Jang Seo Won (Lee Jung Heon) wants to keep the patient there at all costs. 10 years ago, the patient’s young sister disappeared mysteriously. She was in a comatose state as well, and strangely reminds Yoon Young of So Hee.

# “Crack” (dir. Jo Gyu Ok)
Kang Su Jin (Myung Ji Yeon) is a veteran nurse in the hospital. She continues to be haunted by an accident that happened 10 years ago in the operating room. She wants a fresh new start with chief doctor Jang Seo Won, but all he seems to care about is the hospital’s only patient, So Hee. Su Jin tries to find this patient, and learn why she’s stealing so much of her boyfriend’s time.

# “Necklace” (dir. Yoon Jun Seok)
Detective Choi (Im Won Hee) has lost his passion for life, and now pursues Money and nothing else. He was in charge of a case 10 years earlier dealing with a girl’s disappearance from the hospital. The only clue he holds is the girl’s necklace. He’s come to the hospital for only one reason: blackmailing the hospital’s director. He needs money to raise his daughter and has to stop this hospital from closing at all costs.

# “Crimson Red” (dir. Kim Jeong Gu)
Album designer Hong Ah (Lee Young Jin) has a peculiar talent: she can see dead people. By now she’s gotten used to the blood and horrible corpses, but one day a corpse appears, asking Hong Ah to kill her. She finds out about a patient in the hospital, a certain So Hee who is now in a state of coma.

# “Doctor, Jang Seo Won” (dir. Gong Su Chang)
The hospital’s shut down is just a few days away, but chief doctor Jang Seo Won believes he can save his last patient, So Hee. Five people meet each other at the scene of his last operation and a mysterious series of murders starts.

Arang – Korean Movie – DVD

Arang

Korea’s latest horror film Arang is loosely based on Arang Tale, a famous folk tale in which the ghost of a minister’s daughter solicits a governor to help her settle her grudge. Ahn Sang Hoon, assistant director of …ing and director of the 2004 short “Pass Over”, has been busily preparing Arang (previously titled Line), his feature debut, for the last few years. His efforts have produced an eerie, interesting film that transcends the typical summer horror flick by focusing on characters and personal horrors rather than predictable thrill elements.

Arang starts out with the usual duo of detectives. Song Yoon Ah (Hotelier and Lost in Love) is So Young, a seasoned veteran who just returned from suspension, while rookie Hyun Gi is played by My Girl’s Lee Dong Wook in his film debut. Investigating a serial killer case, the two find clues leading them to a young girl violently murdered in a rural village ten years earlier. Plagued by external and internal ghosts, the detectives must unravel the disturbing mystery.

Expensive Domain Renewal

A post on the Digged Stories from the Digg dot Com has made me nervous.

Today is the last day for public comment on a new ICANN proposal that would allow domain name registrars to charge “market value” for your domain upon renewal. Got a valuable web business or domain? You might be facing a $1,000 or $10,000 – or an unlimited number – boost to your domain name renewal fee. Here’s what you can do about it. read more | digg story

What if I will be charged thousands of dollars for my domain name renewal? That’s not really a good thing for me.

Paypal for Pinoys

I was already late reading the post of JRacoma on his blog the J. Spot, “PayPal: One Great Way to Improve the Philippine Economy“. This is all about having PayPal here in the Philippines.

Actually, I am already a PayPal user but an unverified one. I said, I am an unverified Paypal user in the sense that I can’t verify my Paypal account because I don’t have any US-bank account which is one of the requirements in verifying a paypal account. I can’t create a US bank account too because I am not residing in US nor a citizen of US. I was just forced to use the address and phone number of my aunt who is living in US, in signing up an account.

At first, I thought there was no problem with my current status in Paypal-US. But when Dollars started to fill-in my account, I started to realize the problems in withdrawing those Money from Paypal. Of course there are some options available:

  1. Buy products using my Paypal.
  2. Withdraw money in the form of check.

These two options are possible, however purchased product or the check will be sent directly to the address I entered during the registration process, that is the address of my aunt. I already told my aunt about this and she immediately added my name on her POBox.

So, I need to support their campaign for the PayPal-Philippines. With this, I can take my money from PayPal without any hassle and problems. I can offer products and services and receive my compansation so easily.
Please support the PayPal for Philippines Now, just like what I did.
