One of the hardest things that I am working now for my sites and blogs is the SEO. I am almost gone crazy thinking what to do to improve the SERP of my sites and blogs on Google.

But did you know that prior to the month of March 2006, I considered my SEO a successful one?

Let’s take as example my Cellphones For Sale blog which is obviously a blogspot hosted site. To let you know, before Google changed its search algo, this blog became number one on Google’s SERP when searching for “cellphones for sale”. It received a daily average of 1,000 unique hits. What I did was just optimizing the site and then create backlinks through exchange links.

But soon as Google implemented its new search algo, this Cellphones for Sale blog is nowhere on the first few pages of Google SERPs.

I was thinking what was happening, and then realized that exchange links method is not as effective as before. What my sites need is a quality backlinks shared by those webmasters and bloggers through their sites and blogs.

Yes! But how? My sites have poor content that will only pissed off some bloggers and webmasters soon as they take a glance to them. They said, link-bait is a good way of gaining links, but I don’t know what to create that will be used as link-bait.

Sir Abe of the YugaTech posted a tip on how to gain backlinks. According to him, meeting with bloggers by attending some eyeball, meetups or conference will surely create backlinks from those bloggers being met. I am not so sure about it, but I think it’s true because what Sir Abe had said are obviously based on his experiences as he met with bloggers around the world.

So, I need to share some PhP for my travel expences meeting bloggers during some meetups. But is there any way that I can meet bloggers without spending much PhP?
