My Friends and The Google Adsense
Last 2004, I and my three friends who are also Pinoy Bloggers signed-up with Google Adsense with the hope of making money through our blogs. After three days, we both received email from Google Adsense Team telling us that we are accepted in Google Adsense Publishers Program. We all were happy for we can already monetize our blogs.
With so much excitement, we immediately installed the Adsense codes into our blogs. Then we all tried to posts at least five posts everyday with our posts focused in several keywords that we think were paying high.
I was not a good blogger at that time. I have bad English and I still don’t have the skill in composition. Yes, I passed my English subjects from High School to College with higher grades but I was really bad in English communication. My friends, on the other hand, are better than me. They can easily posts our minimum limits of number of posts in just few hours.
After a week, we checked our income. It happened that they all received five dollars in just 8 days while I was only earning cents on that week. I almost discouraged but they comforted me and encouraged me write more quality articles for my blogs.
After a year, we meet again in a restaurant and talk about our careers. I told them that I resigned from my job and focused my self in blogging. They’re all surprised on what I said. They then asked me if blogging plus the Google Adsense could really support my needs and other expenses on this kind of hobby. And I answered them with a big YES!
My three friends told me about their experience with the Google Adsense. It was their secret that had been revealed, that they never received any from Google Adsense because before their first month ended, their Adsense Account had been suspended due to invalid clicks. They told me that they’re just exchanging clicks on their Adsense Ads that’s why in just a week they all earned several dollars than me.
So, at that time I realized that they’re just cheating, and they all were paid for cheating the Adsense Program.
And yesterday, one of them called me, inviting me to his wedding, and asked me too about my career. And I answered again, “I am still having fun blogging and receiving my compensation through the Google Adsense Program.”
