Gain Visitors Through Social Networking Site
I am already staying on the internet since 1999. My first website was a religious site called “The Way To Salvation” which features my articles related to Salvation.
During those times, I didn’t heard yet the term Search Engine Optimization or SEO and other terms related to Search Engines. What I heard before is just some tricks in promoting sites and gaining visitors to it. One of the tricks I successfully applied to my sites is the “promotion through chatrooms”.
Promoting a site in a chatrooms is already considered a spam. But what about if you created your own chatroom, invite people to join you and then making it sure that the URL of your site is embedded on the topic of the chatroom? So, everyone who entered that chatroom would see the URL and probably they’re visiting it. That’s how I did it before.
But now that Social Networking site became a buzz to everyone on the internet, we can also think of ways of promoting our sites through them. Now let’s focus ourselves on the two popular networking site:
What should we do now with these two sites? Of course, we should first register with them and became a member. Invite people to become part of your network of friends up to the maximum limit. Now, if you have done this already, then you’re ready to take advantages of these sites.
- Theme. Edit your theme and make it attractive to other members who are jumping from one page to another.
- Profile. Don’t forget to include a link to your site on your profile page. But make sure you are not spamming your profile page for it will only turn your visitors away from you own page.
- Bulletin. Announce the better post you have on your blog or site through the bulletin board and include the URL of it. Or if you have something to tell your friends on the network, post it there with the URL of your site on the end of the message.
- Messages. Drop messages to pages you visited. Use your site’s URL as your signature.
- Groups. Join popular groups and be active with their discussion.
Well, I tried it before and it’s effective. However, I stopped doing this because I focused my self on SEO now. To let you know, visitors through the Search Engines are the better ones that can be converted to dollars.

[...] Actually, I am not a member of the Agloco thing. It’s a networking schemed site wherein you can earn something out of browsing the web and recruiting everyone to join your network. [...]
