It was another exciting experience that Filipinos have while watching the boxing bout of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Erik “El Terible” Morales during the “Grand Finale: Pacquiao vs Morales 3” event held in Las Vegas this 18th day of November 2006. Just like what I feel, Filipinos around the world who witnessed how Pacquiao pinned down Morales to the canvas three times, feel the unexplainable feeling of joy. It’s another victory of Pacquiao which he offered to all the Filipino communities and to all his boxing fans around the world. Pacquiao again showed the strength, speed, power and determination he has and is running on his blood as Filipino.

It is also a shame to Erik Morales who is too confident to win the fight and looked down Pacquiao by describing him as idiot, powerless and ugly.

However, during the third round of their bout, I was touched by the looked on Morales face and his struggle to stand and fight Pacquiao although he knew his knees couldn’t hold his body anymore. Morales spirit is very strong to fight for the recovery of his boxing career, but it just happened that Pacquiao is stronger than him. Morales now realized that the idiot, powerless and ugly Pacman is very smart, humble but powerful Filipino fighter. It’s another lesson that Morales should learn from the fight.
