Before you turn the key, the test result decides if your car will start or not. To prevent cheating, it will ask for more tests while driving.

The unit collects info on all violations and driving behavior and an analysis goes to the probation officer. So trying to avert the interlock can mean more jail time. (source)

I wish our government will implement this gadget to the cars here in the Philippines too to minimize car accidents. And I wish, someone will invent gadgets that will control the speed of the cars.
