While its my first time to learn what Plastic Surgery is, I was again confused what Cosmetic Surgery means.

Cosmetic Surgery, according to the beautysurg, “is an elective procedure performed to reshape normal structures in the body in order to improve appearance” (www.beautysurg.com). It is often called plastic surgery which concerns itself with such procedures as facelifts, hair replacements, face implants, liposuction, nose surgery, tummy tucks, and even tattoo removal (www.speakingabout.com). However, Cosmetic and Plastic surgery has been differentiated as:

Cosmetic Surgery is a surgery which is specific to aesthetically enhancing ones physical appearance. This is contrast to the term plastic surgery which denotes surgery dedicated to both aesthetic enhancements and also repair and reconstruction of abnormalities by birth defects, trauma, tumors and aging. One of the popular cosmetic surgeon is Dr. Steven H. Dayan of the Cosmetic Surgery Chicago who is specializing in plastic surgery of the face including rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, facelifts, eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), chin implants, lip augmentation, and fat transfers.
