I am really an idiot thinking that Plastic Surgery means a surgery which uses plastics. I often heard this term in the showbiz especially when someone from this community changed its physical features.

They say that plastic surgery in Albany is much better than plastic surgery in the Philippines. But, I don’t know if its true because in the first place I still don’t really know what this term means?

According to the Wikipedia, Plastic surgery is a general term for operative manual and instrumental treatment which is performed for functional or aesthetic reasons. The word “plastic” derives from the Greek plastikos meaning to mould or to shape; its use here is not connected with modern plastics. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_surgery)

So, plastic surgery is not really connected with modern plastics just like what I am thinking. Plastic in “Plastic Surgery” refers to the greek meaning to mould or shape.
