Since my early days here in earth, I was taught by my devout Catholic Father to believe the Bible especially if such teachings will contradict on what have been written on the Holy Bible.

However, what I discovered on the books on religion confused me. Did you know that Purgatory is a doctrine invented only by Rome? This is what the former Catholic priest, Lucian Venit revealed on his book, “I Was a Priest”:

“Purgatory had been invented by Rome in AD 593 but it remained a very unpopular doctrine for many centuries…

“Purgatory, like Mass, has no foundation in Holy Scripture. Christ and the first Christians never talked about it and never knew of its supposed existence.” (pp. 43-44)

Actually, it was not only a former Priest revealed the truth on Purgatory being unscriptural. Even the authority of the Roman Catholic Church said so:

“Their immense significance consists mainly in the fact that they bear witness to points of doctrine which are not actually contained in Holy Scripture, … such, for instance, are infant baptism, the invocation of the saints, purgatory, and many more.” (A Handbook of the Catholic Faith, p. 151)
