Since my early days here in earth, I was taught by my devout Catholic Father to believe the Bible especially if such teachings will contradict on what have been written on the Holy Bible.

However, what I discovered on the books on religion confused me. Did you know that Purgatory is a doctrine invented only by Rome? This is what the former Catholic priest, Lucian Venit revealed on his book, �I Was a Priest�:

�Purgatory had been invented by Rome in AD 593 but it remained a very unpopular doctrine for many centuries�

�Purgatory, like Mass, has no foundation in Holy Scripture. Christ and the first Christians never talked about it and never knew of its supposed existence.� (pp. 43-44)

Actually, it was not only a former Priest revealed the truth on Purgatory being unscriptural. Even the authority of the Roman Catholic Church said so:

�Their immense significance consists mainly in the fact that they bear witness to points of doctrine which are not actually contained in Holy Scripture, � such, for instance, are infant baptism, the invocation of the saints, purgatory, and many more.� (A Handbook of the Catholic Faith, p. 151)
