Why I Hate “World Online” Cafe

Here the reasons why I hate the “World Online Internet Cafe” here in Surigao City.

  1. The PC’s here are super-restricted. I couldn’t install my favorite internet browser, the Firefox.
  2. The Operating System used on PCs is still Windows 98.
  3. The PCs RAM Memory is only 128MB.
  4. I couldn’t sneak a look at the inside of the PC but I know they’re still the old PCs.

… thus always encountering errors.

To let you know, in just one hour of my internet session, the internet explorer closed due to errors for 12 times already.

instead of installing firefox on the system, have you tried running it via a USB stick? (there’s this site about portable apps via USB)

#2 and #3 statements support each other. :D

…but i guess, the only solution to that (instead of upgrading to WinXP) is to install linux.

#4 - hardware failure? then that is out of the OS problem. :D
