The Hacker Is Who?

When I visited the website of the Ang Dating Daan that features their 2006 Pasalamat, it was stated that the writer interviewed Rovhick Balunsay.

If you had visited my previous blog, the “Ka Webspy” blog which is already dead, I mentioned his name several times. Mr. Rovhick Balunsay is actually member of the Ang Dating Daan-CIT. He was the one (said to be) who successfully hacked into my previous site, “Pasugo-God’s Message Online“, “The Way To Know Sueboy” and my selapana@yahoo.com email.

As to how he hacked my site, I really don’t know. I was just surprised by the text messages telling me that the said sites were defaced and looked likely hacked by someone. And according to the result of the investigation, it was Mr. Balunsay who controlled over my sites.

It was really a puzzle to me how he did it. But the information from the FBI about hacking gives me an idea.

According to the FBI, the most common hacker is probably sitting in the cubicle next to you, right now. This is someone who gets to work early, takes his or her turn cleaning out the office fridge, tells funny stories at lunch and, at some point, makes a very dumb move. It often starts when this hacker-next-door sees a file directory or workstation that’s just too juicy to pass by, like one named “Salary Comparison.” It’s simply too tempting NOT to peek inside.

Some experts said, that Mr. Balunsay might get my password through guessing. He could also use viruses, trojan and similar codes to get the most important information on my website and email accounts.

But, I also considered the issue that someone on the next cubicle was observing me what I was doing, got my passwords and send it to Mr Balunsay.

Well, that incident challenged me to be more vigilant against someone who wants to take over my sites. After all, hacking became the favorite game of those who want to challenge you.

At the start of your rambling, you seemed so sure that this so called Rovhick Balunsay hacked your sites and I quote, ‘He was the one who successfully hacked my previous site…’. And yet you don’t even have the dumbest idea how he did. Did he come forward and said he did it or did you, in your over-extended imagination, just picked up a convenient name. Where are the results of the so-called investigation that conveniently uncovered the culprit? Towards the end of your article you used words like ‘might get’ and ‘could also use’ and ‘may be’ indicating that you are not sure at all. Sorry dude but it’s just so difficult to buy any of this!
