Broadcast in 2002, top-rated Korean drama Romance launched Kim Jae Won (My Love Patzzi) and Kim Ha Neul (My Tutor Friend and Piano) into instant stardom. Despite the taboo nature of the teacher-student love affair, the drama won over audiences with the tender, light-hearted portrayal of a pure and sweet love in a complicated world.

Choi Kwan Woo (Kim Jae Won), a noble, but undisciplined young man, meets Kim Chae Won (Kim Ha Neul), a charming, free-spirited young woman, under amusing, serendipitous circumstances. The two quickly hit it off amid innocent lies about their age and occupation. However, when Kwan Woo transfers to a new high school, the truth comes out – Kwan Woo is only a high school student and Chae Won is a teacher, his teacher. The two attempt to be just teacher and student, but they cannot help but continue to love and care for each other, even if they have to give up everything. Faced with social pressure and the strong opposition of both Kwan Woo’s and Chae Won’s parents, will their love be able to overcome all?
