We’ve talked about Rhythm Method of birth control on my previous post which was my reply to a question emailed to me. Now, I will be answering another question: What is the right timing for a couple to have sexual intercourse to make sure that the wife will get pregnant?

I don’t know why is he asking this to me when in fact I am not a doctor nor expert on sex and sexuality. However, based on the researches I made, I will still tackle this subject.

From my previous post, we’ve learned that couple should abstain sex during fertile period.

But then we all know that the sperm cells of male live up to three days while the egg cell of female live up to two days. So, we should add three days before and two days after the expected dates of ovulation to determine the fertile period. In other words, couple should avoid sexual intercourse during the 11th up to 20th day from the first day or menstruation.

It should be done in order to avoid pregnancy.

But since our aim now is to make sure that the wife will get pregnant, so let us use our previous knowledge in determining fertile period but not to abstain sexual intercourse during those days but to have an enjoyable, exciting sexual adventures and sexual intercourse.

What I mean is that the couple should give each other the chance to enjoy the sex specially during fertile period, in which according to our previous knowledge, is the 11th day up to the 20th day from the first day of the wife’s menstruation.

However, just want to remind you that this technique is only effective to the couple who have no physical or sexual problems. It is better to consult your doctor and ask his advices.
