I recently emailed one of the organizers of the Blog Parteeh ‘07 about my desire to donate PhP1000.00 for the party. I am doing this not to get some backlinks from those bloggers who want to attain the party but just to donate the money I raised to attend the party.

Actually, I am saving money that I should use to attend the Blog Parteeh, but I was unfortunate for I only saved PhP1,000.00. I really want to share this amount to the Parteeh without asking for backlinks or what so ever. A simple “thank you” email for me is enough already. But then the emailed person didn’t bother to reply my email.

Why I’m mentioning backlinks? This is because one of the requirements to receive invite to attend the said party is to post links on the bloggers’ blog the sponsors and donors of this party.

Here’s my email sent to them:

Dear *****,

I am Sustines Laplana, a blogger based in Maasin City (Southern Leyte). I really wanted to attend the Bloggers Party but I have limited resources for the travel. So, instead of spending money to attend the party, I decided to donate P1,000.00 for the party.

Please tell me what to do to send it to you.

Now, I was wondering what are the reasons why the emailed person didn’t replied me.

• Maybe he failed to check his email. But I think it won’t happen for he’s always checking his email.
• Maybe I was late to send donations. But I still have time to deposit the money for him or to use the Western Union Money Transfer or even the SMART Money Padala.
• Maybe PhP1,000.00 didn’t meet the requirements they set for donors. But, my case should be exempted from the requirements they set for donors, for I am not asking any thing in return. I will donate money because I want to do it even if they’ll not give me any credits at all.
• Maybe they don’t want me to donate for the party.
• Maybe they money they got is enough already.

Anyway, just want to say Good luck to all bloggers who will attend the Parteeh. I know you’ll enjoy this one.
