The Advantage of Using MyBlogLog
I am already a member of the newly acquired site by Yahoo!, the “MyBlogLog”, since October 31, 2006 as shown on the screen shot below which was taken from my MyBlogLog profile:
At first, I thought this kind of networking site is not useful for my blog. But then, recently I realized that it really drives traffic to a site or blog, just like what the MyBlogLog users revealed on their comments at Shoemoney’s blog.
So, how to do it? Her’s how:
- Join the MyBlogLog here.
- Then add as many community as you can. Choose the community with more members. Because your goal here is to let other members of the community notice you.
- Add as many contact as you can. This is to let the members you added notice you. Remember that the MyBlogLog has features like, “People who viewed this page recently”, and “People who added you to their contacts”. So once you viewed a profile page, or added a member to your contact, MyBlogLog automatically added you to the list of the said features which very noticeable to the owner of that profile page.
- While you’re logged in to the MyBlogLog, visit the blogs of the members, especially those with higher traffic. It is of course effective if the blog you visited published the “MyBlogLog Recent Reader” widget. Take a look at the screenshot below:
See. That’s actually the widget published at Yuga’s blog when I visited his post about TLA. And because I was logged in to MyBlogLog while visiting the said blog, so my pic and username was posted on that widget which will let the visitors of that blog notice me.
Anyway, if you want to learn more how to use the MyBlogLog, visit this page.
Wait! If you’re member already of the MyBlogLog, please add me to your contact and join my community too.
