Breaking away from her usual weak woman roles, Yoo Ho Jung (The Woman Next Door, Thank You, Life) stars as Mi Joo, a successful dentist and divorced 30-something woman raising her kid alone. After marrying her first love, she discovered he was having an affair with a dentist. Her answer? She moves to America and after years of struggling, comes home with a new life and newfound strength and independence. Then a new man knocks at the door, and the game starts once again for her.

Described as the Korean Desperate Housewives, Rude Women managed to score good ratings and excellent reviews despite airing in the extremely competitive weekend slot. Marking veteran PD Lee Seung Ryeol’s return to MBC after four years, Rude Women also stars Im Ji Eun (Secret Agent Park Moon Soo) and rising stars Sa Gang (Soulmate) and Lee Ki Woo (A Love to Kill), along with comedy kings Jung Woong In (My Boss, My Teacher) and Jung Joon Ha (Marrying The Mafia 2).
