Against The BladLouis Koo started his career as a model and then a TV actor before becoming a silver screen big star. A new actor back in the mid-1990s, he led the cast of the TVB swordplay drama Against the Blade of Honour, adapted from a martial arts novel written by the famous Gu Long. The Shaw Brothers Studio adapted the original text into a film in the 1970s, starring Derek Yee, now a film director, and Liza Wang. This 1997 TV version elaborates the story into a 20-episode drama, telling the extraordinary story in even greater details. Sweet actress Noel Leung and sexy actress Irene Wan join the cast to enact an intriguing story.

Ting Pang (Louis Koo) has earned his reputation after beating numerous swordsmen with his “Meteor Sword”. However, his first love (Irene Wan) betrays him, enabling vicious swordsman Lau (Eddie Cheung) to kick him off a cliff during a martial arts tournament. Ting Pang accidentally drifts to a remote island, and the island owner teaches him the even more powerful “Full Moon Scimitar”. Ting Pang then returns to mainland to fetch Lau, accompanied by the island owner’s daughter (Noel Leung) who has fallen in love with him. Meanwhile, he discovers that the “Full Moon Scimitar” is actually a form of evil martial arts…
