I thought that the battle of Apple and Cisco over iPhone Trademark will take a little bit longer, but it seems that my thought about it was wrong, because it was reported that Apple successfully settle the problem with Cisco:
Cisco and Apple® today announced that they have resolved their dispute involving the “iPhone” trademark. Under the agreement, both companies are free to use the “iPhone” trademark on their products throughout the world.
So, Cisco can freely use the iPhone name for its own Internet Phone and Apple can use the same name for its own Phone, because according to the aggreement both companies are free to use the “iPhone”trademark. In other words, if you want to buy internet phone, just say Cisco iPhone… or Apple iPhone for the Apple’s.
