I know, lot of bloggers want their blogposts to be on the homepage of the Digg although they know the so-called digg-effect that their blogs might experience after Digg sent thousands of unique users in just particular times. Some of them even applied tricks and spams which most often ended up nothing.

Google Blogoscoped posted tips on how to not get on the Digg homepage which can be used as our guide on how to get on the Digg homepage. I want you to take note that the tips is how to NOT get on the Digg homepage while our goal is to get on the digg homepage. In other words, if the tips says, “Make sure you’re not the source of the story”, then it means that to get on the Digg homepage, we should make sure that we are the source of the story. We will do the opposite of the tips.

These are the given tips:

  1.  Ensure you’re not the source of the story.
  2. Focus on revenue.
  3. Be factually incorrect in your title.
  4. Submit in Chinese or French.
  5. Post old news only.
  6. Beat around the bush.
  7. Emphasize boring news.
  8. Include spleling errors.
  9. Be critical of Digg.
  10. Use 9 or 11 items.
