However, I successfully signed in to Youtube by directly logging in the My Account section of the site. I even tried to surf the entire sites and I found no dead links, except its homepage which shows that downtime image.

So, YouTubes is just tricking its users actually showing that they are on downtime but actually not. I think, it’s their way of doing some maintenance jobs without shutting down all the clips embedded on blogs and other sites.
