Well, participating in forums is like participating a discussion with friends. Or if you’re fun of talking about what people do (monkey business) then there’s a lot of forums for that.

Now for bloggers or if you’re a webmaster, participating in forums can give you two advantages:

1. Education. We’ll learn many things by just reading threads and posts in the forums.
2. Business Promotion. Most of the forums allow us (members) to set our signature. And often we publish links to our blogs or sites through signature. In other words, as we post our opinions on the topic being talked on certain threads, it is already equivalent to promoting our blogs or site to other forum members.

But how can we successfully gain that advantages?

You can’t just enter a forum thread and then post anything on it for it will only compromised your membership with that forums or if not, that will only turn readers off from you and consider you as spammer.

If you want to participate with those discussions on that thread, read carefully the first post and then the replies. And if you have an idea or opinion about the things discussed on that thread, then post it with love. What I mean is make your post appealing to the readers. Never post a reply that shows your hate to others for you will only find enemies from that forums not friends. Often times, those forumers who became your friends will also became regular visitors of your blog or site.
