It was reported that Google will introduce three methods to prevent invalid clicks on Google Ads: (1) allow advertisers to filter suspicious IP Addresses; (2) will create a web-based resource center that will educate people on click fraud; (3) will release standardized interface for reporting fraudulent clicks.

About Invalid Click:

It was also revealed that there are several sources of invalid clicks:

1. Click Fraud. This is when someone intentionally clicks on Google ads to earn commission.
2. Users mistakes on clicking the ad (double-clicking the ads).
3. Caused by web crawlers.

In other words, when Google warns us (Adsense Publishers) about invalid clicks on our sites, it doesn’t mean that Google really thinks that we are the ones clicking ads on our sites, because Google knew that it’s not only the source of invalid clicks. What Google wants us to do is to stop those invalid clicks produced on our sites.

So, what should we do when Google warns us about invalid clicks?  Here’s a list of what to do based on my experiences when dealing invalid clicks.

1. Email immediately Google Adsense Team about it and let them know that you’re now doing your best to stop this problems.
2. Disable temporarily all Google Adsense ads on the site they’d told you that invalid clicks came from. Or if they didn’t mention any site, it is better to disable all adsense ads on all your sites. For the mean time just use any alternative ads you have such as Adbrite or Clicksor, etc.
3. After doing this, email again the Google Adsense team on what you did. And ask them some advices what to do next.
4. Do what ever they advised you to do. I know, they will respond on your emails.

Doing this will surely drop your Adsense earning. But it’s better than to lose all your earnings including the opportunity to earn more.
