The PaidContent reported that topix.net bought their dot com domain for $1million.
Topix.net, the news search site majority owned by Gannett, McClatchy and Tribune, has bought its .com domain after paying a Canadian company $1 million in January (late last year Topix received $15 million funding), and is planning to move the site onto Topix.com, reports WSJ.
Thinking about it made me worry about the domain that I have. What if Yuga, the one who registered my domain will tempted to let me pay higher than it’s usual price for the renewal of its registration? That would be a great problem for me who doesn’t have the full control of the domain.
Anyway, I can do nothing to avoid this kind of problem but to pray to God that Yuga will show some mercy on me

great! that is really something! i also got an offer (at least twice) for one of the domain names that i own. the offer was first at US$2,500, then the second offere was for $5,000. although the amount was real tempting (exchange rate then was more than P50 to a $) but i decided not to sell it because if someone must be interested with my domain name, then it must be something. i want to discover that something myself.
