I took a bite with John Chow’s offer of free backlink in exchange of my review about his blog because I know his blog is already considered as one of the trusted ones. He has already gained a lot of backlinks and maybe ranked (not only by Technorati) by Google or other ranking tools higher, and already belong to A-List bloggers.

The popularity of John Chow influenced the contest (might not be considered as contest, maybe a linkexhange program) he had organized online, in fact, a lot bloggers follow what he did… this includes Ja Kel.

Who’s Ja Kel?

Well, I don’t really know who Ja Kel is. But one thing I know about him is that he has a blog that looks like the blog of John Chow. Okay, I am not telling you that Ja Kel copied John Chow. I just want to tell you that Ja Kel is probably a diehard fan of John Chow (because fans most likely do what their idols do).

He emailed me today and invited me to join the John Chow-like contest that he organized online. I will write a review about his blog and required me to link to his blog using the achor “Make Money“, then he will also do the same to my blog with the anchor that I want.

This program is actually a play like what we did in Google Bombing. I already did some experiments on this like on Pinoy Teen Sex, Southern Leyte Blogger and other SEO experiments.

With this contest, Ja Kel wanted to top the Google SERP on “Make Money” which is similar to John Chow’s target on “Make Money Online”.

My Review Of Ja Kel’s blog:

Okay… First, I want to tell him that there’s a problem with the Title of every pages of his blog. I visited every pages available but I found out that all the pages are using the Page Title, “Make Money With Ja Kel Daily Dot Com”. He might forget that the Page Title is one of the important factor in Search Engine Results (SER) ranking. With this, Google might consider all of his blog’s pages as duplicates.

Ja Kel Daily Dot Com is a newly created blog with few posts. I think, Ja Kel created this blog just for the Link Exchange experiment on the anchor “Make Money”. It’s not of course as popular as the blog of John Chow, but who knows it will succeed more than what John Chow achieved.

Why Do I accepted his invitation?

You might wonder why I accepted his invation although (just like what I said above) his blog is not as popular as the blog of John Chow.

Okay, think about it… Ja Kel is now organizing a Link Exchange program, and a lot of bloggers might answer to his call to review his blog in exchange of backlinks. As of this writing, he’s already giving away 30 backlinks to the bloggers who reviewed his blog, which means, there are already 30 bloggers whose review are already recognized by Ja Kel. So, in the long run, Ja Kel’s blog will ranked higher compared to other blogs, including this blog. With this, the backlink to this blog that he will publish on his blog can help this blog’s ranking.

So, hope this post will qualify to his Link Exchange program.
