Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002)
To save his ailing sister, green-haired deaf mute Ryu (Shin Ha Kyun) turns to the organ black market, only to awaken from surgery, swindled out of his life savings and his kidney. Now in dire need of cash, Ryu and his girlfriend (Bae Du Na) kidnap the daughter of wealthy industrialist Park Dong Jin (Song Kang Ho). But their scheme goes very, very wrong, causing a seemingly normal man to spin violently out of control.

Old Boy (2003)
Abrasive Oh Dae Soo (Choi Min Sik) is suddenly kidnapped one day and confined in a cell with only a television set. After 15 years of inexplicable imprisonment, the now slightly manic Dae Soo is just as inexplicably released. Returned to an unfamiliar world, he embarks on a bloody raging path of revenge to find the truth behind his imprisonment. Trapped in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with the mysterious Woo Jin (Yoo Ji Tae), he must put everything on the line to find the answers. The truth, however, may not set him free. Old Boy won the Grand Prix at the 57th Cannes Film Festival.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)
Geum Ja (Lee Young Ae) has just been released from jail after thirteen years of imprisonment for the kidnapping and brutal murder of a young child. She was extremely kind and generous during her internment, earning a widespread reputation as a veritable saint among the imprisoned women. However, her polite behavior masks her true intentions. Seemingly innocent of the charges brought against her, she is hatching an elaborate plan to seek retribution on the twisted Mr. Baek (Choi Min Sik). Once out of prison, the kind and considerate Geum Ja quickly turns cold and calculating as she sets in motion her plan for bitter vengeance.
