Youtube is still alive even if it’s experiencing difficulties. It’s currently facing the $1 Billion lawsuit, but whatever the result of this, Youtube will continue to exist (just what I think).
Few days ago, Youtube awarded few of the video clips uploaded to Youtube. And now, it was reported that Youtube will be launching their mobile website which will be available to US users in July 2007 and said to be live to UK users in May.
YouTube will launch its mobile website in June 2007 for U.S. users, according to a spokesperson. The mobile YouTube site will go live once the exclusivity clause on the company’s mobile video deal with Verizon Wireless expires. The service will be live for European users in May.
It might be part of the experiment of Google on how will users respond, but I think, Youtube’s video really fit to mobile screen compared to Joost’s system.
So, what about if Youtube will become successful to this kind of venture, what will happen next?
Well, maybe lot of deals will be created from different broadcasting, video and entertainmnet companies. Viacom, on the other hand, might feel regret of its failure to take advantage of Youtubes services.
I just don’t know when will it become available for the Philippine users.
