Directed by Heo In Moo (Love so Divine), Herb sensitively looks into the life of a young woman with the mind of a child. Much like Marathon, the film centers on a mother’s love for her child. Gang Hye Jung has continuously challenged herself with a wide range of roles in films like Old Boy, Welcome to Dongmakgol, and Love Phobia, and this time she completely captures the character of a childlike woman who gets her first taste of romance and tragedy. Bravely venturing into a new world, she comes of age on her own terms, and the process is both heartwarming and tearjerking. Veteran actress Bae Jong Ok (Ad Lib Night) anchors the film with her touching performance as the mother, while Jung Kyung Ho (Gangster High) portrays Gang Hye Jung’s love interest.

At first look, Sang Eun (Gang Hye Jung) is a beautiful and healthy 20-year-old woman, but in reality she has the intelligence of a seven-year-old child. Lovingly cared for by her mother (Bae Jong Ok), the simple and sweet Sang Eun sees the world in fairy tale colors. One day, a Prince Charming comes into her life in the form of policeman Jeong Bom (Jung Kyung Ho). Through budding romance and unexpected tragedy, Sang Eun learns to face the world on her own two feet.
