Just found the new Wordpress Stats plugin through Yuga. This new plugin is created by Automatic, the creator of the Akismet.
That’s why Automattic created its own stats system, to focus on just the most popular metrics a blogger wants to track and provide them in a clear and concise interface.
You can download it here, extract the content, upload it in your blog’s plugins folder, and then activate it at your blog’s control panel for plugins. Well, that’s how to install it, and I know that you know already. If you really don’t know how to do it, then tell your blog’s admin to install it for your.
However, just like how you activated your blog’s Akismet, you also need to provide the system with your Wordpress.Com API Key. If you already had provided your blog’s Akismet with this key before, then just open the Wordpress Stats tab (the one which is encircled with red color at the image below)
and press the USE THIS button (as shown below).
But if the you haven’t supplied the Akismet with this API key, then you need to get it one at the Wordpress.Com by signing up an account…. automatically Wordpress.Com will give you one.
Once it’s running it’ll begin collecting information about your pageviews, which posts and pages are the most popular, where your traffic is coming from, and what people click on when they leave. It’ll also add a link to your dashboard which allows you to see all your stats on a single page. Less is more.
Finally, because all of the processing and collection runs on our servers and not yours, it doesn’t cause any additional load on your hosting account. In fact, it’s one of the fastest stats system, hosted or not hosted, that you can use.
How To View the Stats?
In your dashboard, click the BLOG STATS tab (as shown below with red circle) and you’ll be redirected to the Dashboard.Wordpress.Com where the stats of your Wordpress Stats - activated blogs are found.
Install now and study how your blog is reached by the internet users around the world.
