I was hit by what Garry Conn said on his Successful Blogging Tips, that it is better to have a site that has 10 visitors a day but 100% converted to regular readers than having 1000 visitors a day and only few percentage has been converted as regular visitors.

This blog (How To Make Money with a Dumb Blogger) is currently visited by more or less 1,000 visitors a day but then I am failed to convert them into regular visitors as feed subscribers and repeat visitors.

I am always examining the daily visitors of this blog. And I found out that most of them are coming from search engines looking for porns, anime updates and other stuffs which is not my really aims for this blog.

I was posting unrelevant posts (unrelevant in the sense that they are not related to the niche of this blog) on this blog like lyrics, post utilizing the popular keywords and most searched keywords, and most search products inorder to increase the traffic of this blog.

Yes, I am very much successful in increasing the traffic of this site. Since the start of this blog (March 6, 2006) to August 2006, it was only receiving less than 50 visitors. After posting those unrelevant posts, the traffic increased amazingly from less 50 visitors to hundreds, and now on its 1000 visitors.

And my real problem now is how can I convert this traffic to regular visitors? Garry Conn said, I need to give my readers a reason to come back. And what’s these reasons? Okay, I think I need to examine again this blog, its design, the way I talk or write and the things I am posting here. This is not really an easy task, especially that I am just new to this.

Yes, I started blogging since 2003 but then it was just now that I become serious about it. It really disturbed me even during my time to take a rest.

So, what should I do:

1. Read and read tips, tricks and information about successful blogging.
2. Think and Think blogable things then write blogposts about them and post them here on this blog.
3. Go and find bloggers who are willing to link to this blog.
