I am thankful to Gobala Krishnan, an Internet Home Business blogger, for telling me the two things he noticed on my blog:
- Unrelated Topics, like TV Shows
- What’s not
Maintaining a “Make Money Online” blog is really hard to do especially that you should post a minimum of one post (per day) full of information on how to make money online. And plugging up unrelated topics like what I did, which was noticed by Krishnan, ruins my community building.
So, what should you do if you’re a “Make Money Online” blogger?
Okay, let’s examine the blog of Gobala Krishnan and let’s all learn from a Malaysian way of Making Money Online.
About the Gobala Krishnan:
Gobala Krishnan is an Internet home business entrepreneur in sunny Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He’s a talented guy who find his living as an infopreneur, columnist and owns a company that caters:
- Direct response copywriting
- Web catalog copywriting
- Creative writing coaching
- Ghostwriting, proofreading & editing
- Press Release (PR) copywriting & management
- Internet branding management
- Google Adwords consulting
I can’t write more about him because our focus is to learn something from his blog. If you want to know him, visit his about me page.
About His Blog:
“Internet Marketing with Gobala Krishnan” is his blog. It is actually similar to our blog, “Make Money Online with a Dumb Blogger” in which it focuses on how to make money online. Krishnan calls it as “Home Based Internet Business”.
He posts blogposts related to:
- Ways on Making Money Online
- Internet Community Offline Events
- Website Marketing which Includes Web Advertising
- Internet Home Business Project. This is a project similar to John Chow’s Review Me program. This is one of the ways of spreading the words about his blog.
- Techn-News
His posts are all related to his niche. This is one of the reason why he immediately noticed the unrelated posts I posted on our blog.
The Lessons:
The blog came to exist in the blogosphere since March 2006 which means it is as old as our blog. However, Gobala failed to reach the traffic of 1,000 visitors a day.
According to its traffic tracker, the average daily visitors of the blog is only more or less 300 uniques. I wonder how can he maximize the monetization of the blog with this number of visitors a day.
And one thing I noticed, is the absense of ads on the blog except the text links served by Text Link Ads. He also accepts review offer through the ReviewMe system.
I know, the absense of ads on your blog will help you increase the regular visitors of your blog because some visitors are annoyed by the ads displayed on your blog. However, if you can place the adsense in the right place on your blog, then annoyance to visitors will be avoided. Thus making you earn Dollars while building your own community.
What I mean is, you can actually do both making money from your blog and building your blog’s community without ruining one of them.
Last Words:
It’s another $100-worth of review given for free to Gobala Krishnan. He doesn’t pay us for this review. What he did was, writing a short honest review of this blog and publishing a link to this blog.
If you want me to write a $100-worth of review of your blog, then visit this page for more details.
If you want me to review your commercial sites or blogs, I think you need to order a review here.
