Mon Macutay is the blogger behind the GMTristan blog. I currently don’t have knowledge why Mon choose GMTristan to be the name of his blog. But just to guess why, maybe GMTristan is one of the online games available or maybe it’s his most favorite online leve-up games.

This post is actually a review of Mon’s GMTristan blog. He’s our latest participant of our Review Me, Review You challenge who wrote a review of my blog with the following noticed things:

1. Posts on TV Shows. I think, it’s now time to tell you that the TV shows posted on this blog are only advertisements in which I am paid by the company in per sale basis. They are programmed posts. I mean I posted them by setting the time back to minus two months.
2. Infotech News. Just like what I said on previous post, I started to shift my niche from general to techno-stories just this January 2007, and then changed the niche into “Make Money Online” just this May 2007. In other words, you’ll find unrelated posts on this blog if you’ll scan it through its archives, including the so-called Techno-stories. However, I may posts some technostories here as a way of informing our visitors about the latest and hottest news on the blogosphere.
3. Neat design. I personally designed the Wordpress theme based on the preferrences set for better surfing, optimized earnings and Search Engines indexing.
4. Will, Passion and Dedication as factors of my blogging success. That’s really true. Mon really noticed it. However, I want to tell you that my real guide in blogging is the saying, “Success will be yours if you have knowledge, hardwok, passion, dedication and God’s blessings in all you do.”

About GMTristan blog:

Since, Mon posted a review of our blog at GMTristan blog, then I need to award him the reward for that by giving him my $100-worth of review of his blog for free.

GMTRistan blog is all about Philippine Online Games, MMORPG and Level Up. I am not surprise if the blog is all about online games because Mon himself is an online gamer and Marketing Manager of the Level Up Philippines. He regularly posts games related blogposts but sometimes he also write unrelated blogposts on Technology, Movies and other personal journals.

The blog started last March 2007. But Google has already indexed 63 pages as shown on the screenshot below. Mon is quiet successful on this compared to what I experienced when my blog was 3 month old yet.

How To Increase Traffic?

There are many ways in increasing the traffic of your blog. You can employ some SEO gaming into your blog but just make sure that the keywords and phrases you’ll use for this are all related to your niche.

That’s actually one of my mistakes because I am gaming the SEO for this blog using unrelated keywords and phrases. I really successfully increased the traffic of my blog but then failed to fully monetized the traffic because we all know that unrelevant traffic will merely result no income for you. (That’s one of the things I realized while writing my review of the Online Opportunity blog.)

So, since your niche is about online games, then focus your posts on online games. Do some researches on the popular keywords used at the Search Engines and make sure that you mention them regularly on your posts.

According to Pinoy Blogosphere ranking, your blog has more or less 7,000 visitors on the month of May. That is 250 visitors a day. It’s already quiet good. Far way better than what I got when my blog was still 3 month old. And you can still increase this not only by employing SEO but also by connection to your offline friends.

What I mean? I mean, search the blogosphere of the bloggers who also fan of online games who have blogs too. Ask them to exchange link with you and exchange visits with your blog. With this, you’ll not only gain traffic through their blogrolls but also gaining PR for your blog.

Making Money with blog:

You already have started publishing Adsense ads. And I guess you’re already earning from it. However, you can maximize your Adsense earning by experimenting Adsense ads placement and observing its CTR. The placement with the higher CTR will be the best placement for the Adsense ads on your blog.

But then you need to remember that you can’t maximize your online earning by just publishing Adsense ads. You can also join TextLinkAds, ReviewMe, AdBrite and other third party ad services. But just make sure that you publish them on your blog in orderly manner to avoid annoyance to your blog’s visitors.
