One of the problems the new blogs is the visitors. Your blog maybe have contents but if it has no visitors then I consider it as dead. If it continues to be like that, sooner it will banish.
There is actually a remedy to this. Don’t waste your time by just waiting for the visitors to come. Do find visitors for your blog. Why not invite them?
Here’s the 9 ways of inviting users to visit your blog:
(1) Comment
Visit the blogs, read their post and drop your comments about the post. I am sure, like you, the blogger of that blog is frequently checking the comment dropped into their blog. Soon as he noticed your comment, he will immediately check your blog.
And not only will the owner of the blog you commented become your visitor. The visitors of that blog might visit your blog too.
(2) Trackbacks
Check the meme tracker like Technorati, Google Blogsearch, or the Techmeme. Join the discussions in the blogosphere by writing your own thoughts about the issue. Then publish links to the source of the issue and to other blogs talking about it. So, once the blogs you linked received the pings you sent, automatically your blog will be listed on their trackbacks section.
The owner of the blogs that received your pings might check the source of the ping, thus became your visitor. If the visitors of those blogs notice the trackback, I’m sure they’ll check your blog too.
(3) MyBlogLog
Tons of blogs has the MyBlogLog visitor’s widget. Once you visited a blog with this kind of widget, your image or your MyBlogLog username will appear on that widget.
The blogger of that blog you visited will be happy to see new face on the MyBlogLog widget because it means somebody has visited his blog. And of course he’s interested to know you. So he will visit your blog.
(4) Guest Blogging
This is also a good way of redirecting visitors to your blog. But it will be effective if you guest-blogging to a high traffic blog.
(5) Articles
To let you know, there are tons of bloggers who are lazy enough to write articles for their blogs. What they did is make use of the reprint articles posted at the reprint articles site such as Article City, Ezine Articles, etc.
So, take advantage of this. Write articles intended for reprint. On the resource box, don’t forget to include the URL of your blog. Don’t just establish a link to your blog, but include the URL itself.
For example, I will write it on the resource section:
SELaplana is the first Filipino blogger in Southern Leyte, blogging on Money, Internet and Technology at http://www.selaplana.com. He is also popular as the Motoristang Pinoy who takes adventures by traveling interesting places in the Philippines and publishes his adventures at http://www.motoristangpinoy.com.
So, those users who read your articles might check the URLs posted thus became the visitors of your blog.
(6) Business Card
Print a business card of yours, like what I did as shown below. Distribute this to your friends, relatives or to everyone you meet somewhere. If they’ll have time, they’ll check your blog.
(7) Online Advertising
If you have enough money, you can advertise your blog to earn more exposure. You can use Google Adword, TextLinkAds, ReviewMe, or any form of online advertisements. You can even take advantage of my Free Banner Advertisement program where in your banner ad will be published on this blog and on my Songs Lyrics blog. Users who notice your advertisement will surely visit your blog.
(8) Gifts
You can also give gifts to other bloggers especially if you’re celebrating anything. On the gift of course don’t forget to write the URL of your blog. Or you can think of better ways that will make the recipient visit your blog as he receive the gift you sent.
(9) Forums
Be an active forumer. Participate in any forums that exist which you think are related to your passion. I’m sure other forumers are checking the URLs posted on the signatures.
These ways are effective. I tried them. So try them also for you to gain visitors for your blog.

Good list of tips.
I definitely do try to set aside some time to blog hop and leave a few comments here and there on my fave blogs. As for MyBlogLog… I love it. It’s a great way to get traffic and discover new bloggers.

As a new blogger, I think tips 1, 2 and 3 is the most productive of all. New bloggers (such as me) are still on the process of researching and learning so they might not be able to do the other tips mentioned just yet. But in due time, they will be able too, thanks for sharing your tips.
