Reason Why Text Link Ads is not Already in Google SERP
If you haven’t notice yet that Text Link Ads is not already on any of the Google SERP for “Text Link Ads” search anchor-texts, then I am telling you now about this. Based on my observation and research, Text Link Ads was dropped from Google SERP soon after John Chow’s fate.
And the very reason why Google drops the Text Link Ads on its SERP is: Google Hates Google Bombing
We were already warned by Google about Google Bombing and what will be the consequences when practicing Google Bombing. Just recently, Google gave us an example on this, and that is, the John Chow’s fate.
Well, Text Link Ads is just a third party services that allows everyone to Google Bomb by buying text links from blogs and websites.
Haven’t you remember what Matt Cutts said about paid links? Matt Cutts clearly said that Google doesn’t hate paid links just like what Text Link Ads is brokering. What Google hates are the paid links that flow PageRank and attempt to game Google’s rankings.
Alex Choo summarized the post of Matt Cutts into 4 lessons to practice:
- Don’t buy and sell links just to game Google’s ranking.
- List only sites that are related to your own.
- Use “NO FOLLOW” attribute to paid links.
- Don’t fool users and search engines about your paid links.
John Chow’ and Text Link Ads’ fates serve as warning to us who sell links through Text Link Ads, Pay Per Post, Review Me and other link brokers, and to brokers themselves.

Hi,
I’m the developer of WP Text Ads, a WordPress plugin that lets bloggers sell ads directly to advertisers, so they pay no commissions.
That’s why I think it’s crucial that rel=”nofollow” are added to paid links, so that Google do not think the site is trying to boost it’s PR. I’ve added this attribute as a default option to WP Text Ads.

WP Text Ads is a plugin that lets WordPress bloggers sell directly to advertisers, so they pay no commissions.
It also uses the rel=”nofollow” attribute in links (can be turned off), so that Google will not penalise sites that sells ads.

I am just curious why are people using TLA. I registered there few months ago, but I wasn’t able to earn reasonable amount with it. After 3 weeks I decided to give up my TLA account. With earnings at about $11 per month (for 1 link) I had nothing to but laugh. This is really pathetic.
I earn such amount in approximately 12 hours with adsense…
I am sure that webmasters with normal traffic (starting at 500 unique visits per day) and with CPM ads (or offering their own services, shopping carts, etc.) on their websites can’t be interested in TLA. Unlike webmasters who bought high pagerank links and got PR7+ and who have no real traffic, webmasters with quality sites can’t think about TLA at all… It is very questionable source of income.
