Just recently I received an email from one of you who wonders how I divided my time in blogging. You might be curious on how I managed my time dealing with all my blogs and other websites.

So, how do I manage my time in blogging?

I think, the way I deal with my blogs and websites is really different from the way other bloggers did. Remember that I don’t have my own internet connection. Everyday I travel 40 Kilometers from my home to Maasin City, and rent computer from the internet café just to do my job.

So, here’s what I am doing everyday.

  1. Write articles
  2. Check email
  3. Check comments
  4. Publish articles
  5. Read news and information
  6. Find Friends and Connect with them
  7. Relax

(1) Write Articles

I write articles at home with my PC. Of course I can write articles while I’m at the café, but I need to save money. Remember that writing articles takes time, and if I will do it at the café, then I’ll be spending much from the computer rental.

Usually, I start composing articles at 9:00AM after doing some house chores. I will stop composing at 11:00AM to prepare the things that I will bring to Maasin for my blogging activities, such as Flash Drive along with the files of the articles that should be published on my blogs, and also my Diary Book which contains the tasks that I need to perform for the day.

2) Check Email

Checking my emails is the first thing that I do as long as I am connected to the internet. I said emails because I have 4 email accounts. 1- My old email account that I was using when I was still popular as the Ka Webspy. 2- The email used in accessing my affiliate accounts. 3- My email used for my blogs and you know it already because it was posted on my ABOUT page. 4- My email account which is connected with my mobile phone.

(3) Check Comments

After checking my email, I then read all the comments posted on all my blogs and reply them too. I approve some comments of my visitors that are sent to be moderated. I also delete some spammy comments that are posted not to interact with us but just to promote their spammy sites and spammy blogs.

(4) Publish Articles

After posting my replies to comments, and moderating those comments that should be moderated, I then publish new articles. I already wrote them into document file, so what I need to do is just to copy and paste them into the Write section of the admin interface of the Wordpress control panel.

(5) Learn Things

Reading news and other information is actually the first step that other bloggers are doing during their blogging time. It’s on this activity where you collect information that will be used on your next articles.

But on my case, this part became the last one of my blogging job. I check the news through the Google News, Yahoo! News, Philippine local news sites and other sources.

All the information that I collected where saved into documents along with the emails and comments that should be replied in the form of article. And I will bring this home through my flash drive.

(6) Visit blogs, Read Posts and Drop Comments

Blogging is not complete if you will not interact, socialize or connect with other bloggers. Other bloggers are your neighbors. So, you must visit their blogs too, read their articles and share your thoughts about what they wrote. But if you think your idea is very much long, so why not consider writing article for your blog that will answer the issue on that blog?

By this, you’ll not only learn about what they are writing, but you’ll find friends too and visitors for your blog.

(7) Relax

Well, you must reward your self after successfully doing your job. You can eat at classy restaurants, or watch movie, or anything that will let your body and mind relax.

Other bloggers said that having sex with their wives is the best way to relax their selves. I don’t how true this is because I still don’t have my own wife.

Finale Words

These 7 steps are the things I did on my daily blogging job. I don’t tell you to follow it but you can take lessons from it. It’s up to you to divide your time so that your blogging activity will be done smoothly.

Hmm does this mean that you don’t have anything else to do but blog? I mean a job? school? I am just curious. ^_^

You could have mentioned that I start at around 9:00am (which you mentioned) and end these 7 steps at around what time?

Hi Allen, according to Mr. Laplana, he’s the “first Pinoy Blogger in Southern Leyte, a graduate of BS Electrical Engineering… working as a full-time Blogger”… I also know Thought_In_Binary dude, Mark Verzo, who’s a full time blogger…

I envy these people… they have no boss and they can do what they want (besides blogging)…

    sana, someday si Eli….. :-)

For me its very hard to follow that step, since I have a lot of activities, blogging for me is just a fast time its my extra time when I do editing some of my pictures taken from some of my clients (photography my extra income)… And also since I have my regular job if Im not to much busy then I will do reading others blog make comments, make some research for future posting…

Allen >>> I don’t actually have job. Since the time I lost my cafe business, I spend my whole time blogging. I usually start at 9:00am to 11:00am composing articles. 11:00-12:00 - traveling from my home to Maasin City. Usually, I start my internet session at 1:00pm after eating my lunch. i go home at 9:00pm

Eli >>> yes! that’s what makes me unique among other probloggers. ako lang yata ang walang sariling connection ng internet. at that’s the reason why until now hindi pa rin natapos ang review at examination ko sa site mong pinoybanda.

Buddy>>> at problema pa nito bro is kung lilipat ako sa Surigao del Sur dahil mas malayo pa sa 40km ang tatakbuhin ko bago ako makapag-online….
