Again, she asked me why should I create my own design for my blogs. This is in relation to the release of the new Wordpress theme for the Naruto Shippuuden Fan blog.

I remember that my mother called me “Jack of all trade, Master of none…” when I was still kid. My mother said that I was an artist who have talent in sketching, drawing or painting… I was a musician who knew how to play guitar, organ or piano, bugle and drums… I was a singer just because I was once member of the Saint Augustine Parish Choir… I was a carpenter because my father taught me carpentry… I was an electronic technician because I tried to repair our defective appliances even if I don’t have enough knowledge in electronics… And then when someone asked me about my dreams, I always tell them that I want to become a doctor, a teacher, a soldier, a pilot, a priest, a driver, whatever…

Well, that’s all because I really tried to learn everything that interest me… and also, I want to become more than what others are.

And since I am really interested to learn how to design a Wordpress theme, then I did tried to design a theme. Designing a theme by your own is a good way of learning how to design.

It’s true that you will learn about it by just reading the tips, tricks and the facts about Wordpress theme but you can’t say that you already learned how to design a theme if you failed to design even a single and simple theme.

Your own Wordpress theme for your own blog

I know that tons of Wordpress theme are made available online. You’ll just download them and implement into your blogs and… bang! you have nice blogs.

But why do you waste time designing your own bad theme for your own blog? You might ask me this.

Blog’s Uniqueness… Yes! I want my blog to be looked different from the rest of the blogs. My designed theme might be the worst one but at least it made my blog unique.

Did you know that I really hate when someone say, “Oh you look like John Lloyd Cruz!” Well, John L Cruz might be handsome but I don’t want to be looked like him. I just love my own figure, my own face….

And did you know that each of the Wordpress themes available for download is used by more than 10 blogs around the world. And if you’re only using one of those themes, then it only means that there are more than 10 blogs that look like your blog.

Make the themes available for download

Making your own Wordpress themes and made them available for download is one of the best way of gaining backlinks, traffic, and popularity of your blog.

Remember that as the designer of a theme, you can put footer links that link back to your blog. And other bloggers who use your theme respect you and do thank you for designing it. So in return they will not remove the links you stablished on the footer.

And with this, the more bloggers use your theme, the more links you will harvest. Thus, your blog will earn much backlinks. In result, the PR of your blog increases.
