Filipina Writing Contest and My Favorite Filipina Blogger
Ms. Janette Toral, my favorite columnist at the Sun Star Cebu daily, launched again a writing contest which will let you win $100 and free backlinks from fellow participants and from the W3O blog too. The participant must do the following (source: W3O Blog):
- Write a new blog post with “Filipina” as the theme. Take it any direction or style that you like. For example, you can write about common Filipina names, Filipina in various industries, gadgets for the Filipina, your perspective on the Filipina online, favorite Filipina bloggers, among others. (You can update the same post entry up to November 22.)
- Include a link to the W3O contest announcement post to help spread the word.
- Post a comment at the W3O contest announcement post and let us know about your entry. Only one entry per blogger.
- Cut-off date and time for submission of entries is on November 22, Thursday, 5:00 pm (GMT+8). Afterwards, submission of comments in this page shall be closed.
For more details, visit the W3O contest announcement post.
And to participate this writing contest, here’s my favorite Filipina Blogger in my Community:
How do I choose them?
These bloggers are actually the only Filipina bloggers in my community as of the time of writing this post. There are other female bloggers in my community but I was confused whether they are Filipina or not, so I didn’t include them on this list.

nice nice… pwede pala ganito… mag list din kaya ako ng favorite ko? hmmm… ^_^
cool contest but i’m too young and blog contents are too biographical. can i join in his contest too?
Well, this incoming link certainly got my attention. Enough to break me out of (albeit, briefly) one of my numerous blog hiatuses, hehe.
Thanks. I’m flattered and honoured to be in your list. Truly. I think I shall enter that writing project, too.
Hi Sel. I just noticed that this entry of yours is now on page 20 of Google results for Filipina. I hope it goes up pa!
@Starsapphire04 – yes, you can surely join and take it any style you like.
Also you are in page 20 in MSN results for Filipina. Cheers!
Hi! i think, it’s because I posted a link to my main domain with the anchor text “Filipina”….
di ko rin napansin na iilan na rin pala ang nagcomment dito.
thanks a lot for visiting me here.
Hi Sel. I would like to invite you to e-mail me an audio version of your entry so I can include it in our Filipina Writing Project podcast. Thank you.
Ms. Toral >>> thanks for informing me.. gagawa pa po ako.
Among your Filipina bloggers, I highly recommend the following sites based on my personal judgment in terms of contents, lay-out and usefulness.
Digital Filipino (3/5)
Ceskypooh (4/5)
Jengkie (5/5)
Juste Maristel (3/5)
Frankly, I dont like blogs being used mainly for advertisements, just plainly for financial gains. I want to see blogs as informative venues for us on-line readers to learn envaluable things from the range of topics – from entertainment to personal experiences.
Hi, your blogging skills are inspiring. You have conquered the world, so to speak. Congratulations!
I’ll join this contest and have fun in the process!
