I am currently wondering what will happen to the Technorati after kicking off 8 members of their team and left behind by a CEO.
With regards to the exiting of Mr. Sifry, the Technorati’s CEO, the Alam-Clock raised several issues which might be the cause of this:
- Sifry is a lame duck so there is chaos as subordinates are ignoring him
- People are listening to him, which is bad because his management has proven to make investors unhappy
- Sifry is doing a poor job in interviews with a potential new CEO and turning candidates off
- Sifry decided he really didn’t need this shit any more
- and maybe the company really couldn’t afford his expense any more - Sifry explains that 8 were axed to reduce expenses after all.
Even if Sifry said that the Technorati blog search will continue, but still what happened wonders tons of observers and lead them to think that it’s now the start of the death of the blog search.
