Several days ago Carl Ocab’s “Make Money Online with a 13-yearl old” blog became the center of talks in the Philippine blogosphere. Everyone who visited the said blog ask these questions:

1. Is it really true that the blogger behind this kind of blog is a 13-year old kid?
2. If this is the blog of a 13-year old kid, is he the one writing the articles posted on the blog?
3. If he is the author of the articles posted on the blog, can a 13-year old kid write articles as if he’s an expert on Making Money Online, Blog Marketing and SEO?

But I understand that the very reason why these questions are raised in your head as you find out that the blogger behind the Make Money blog is just a 13-year old is your expectation on the capability of a 13-year old kid by looking at yourself and other normal kids when you’re still at that age.

Two different things are different. Don’t consider them similar

It might be true that when you’re at that age, you could hardly or couldn’t write articles just like what you’ve read from Carl’s blog. But it doesn’t mean that Carl couldn’t write those kind of articles.

It might be true that when you’re at that age, you didn’t know how to make money (nor making money online). But it doesn’t mean that Carl couldn’t know how to make money online.

Remember, you can’t compare 2 different things as if similar to each other. You might be a smart guy, but the way you deal with your smartness can be different on the way Carl deal with his.

If idiot and dumb blogger like me successfully write an article like this, then a smart kid like Carl can also write better articles than what I have written.

I’m sure you are also wondering how can an idiot like me and a kid like Carl learn things that are used in managing and marketing the blogs, and writing “how-to” and “tips and trick” articles. To give you some insights, here’s how:

The blog contains tips and tricks in making money online which other bloggers consider them evil ways in making money online in the sense that most of the tricks presented will push your blog to the limits, thus, compromises your blog.

Most of the marketing strategy used by Carl on his Make Money blog are the application of John Chow’s tips like Review Me for Links, Fave me at Technorati, etc..

Dig and read the ProBlogger blog.

The ProBlogger blog is a personal blog of Darren Rowse which will teach you how to blog, how to become problogger, how to gain traffic for your blog, how to make money with your blog, and how to become a better blogger.

You can find tons of “how-to” articles here which will definitely turn you from an idiot blogger into an expert.
