My Aunt died. Yes. Last Friday, August 17, 2007, my aunt breathed her last breath, taking now her rest after suffering cancer (in breast down to her bones, then scattered into her liver and attacked her lungs) for almost 5 years.

She might have survived against this illness if she immediately took medical processes soon as she noticed the lump on her breast. But she just ignored that lump because of financial worries, without thinking that she would be spending millions of Peso if her illness became worst. If she only responded immediately during the early stages of her illness, I think, the millions of Peso she spent will be enough to help her survived from this.

The Lessons

If you’ll look at her situation, you can learn lessons from it that can be applied into your blogging and making money online career.

(1) Prevention is better than Cure.

Since you are a blogger and are making money online, you should always avoid any activities that can compromise your online accounts or your name itself. Consider the following:

  1. Follow the terms and condition or policies governing any online programs that you’ve participated, because going against those policies will only lead you to expulsion and banning from the programs. Examples of these programs are Google Adsense, Text Link Ads, ReviewMe or any third party services.
  2. Avoid attacking organization, companies or individual without any basis of truth, because you will only be sued by those whom you attacked with.
  3. Don’t use the black hat SEO because you’ll be penalized if you’re practicing this kind of SEO.

(2) Be Positive

If you encounter problems while dealing with your blogs and online accounts, always think positively.

  1. If you are new to blogging, don’t ever think that you can’t tackle the responsibilities of being a blogger. Always think that if other bloggers are successful in blogging, then you can be successful too.
  2. If you poorly have skills in Writing, then don’t stop writing, write more blogposts instead.

(3) Don’t be afraid to invest

There are times that you need to spend money for your business. You need to buy your own domain, and hosting account. You need to buy advertising slots and spaces from other websites and blogs. You need to pay for probloggers who blog for at your blog. You need to spend for the prices on your marketing contest at your blog. There are even times that you need to buy your own PC, internet connection, and blogging-related gadgets like digital camera, high-end cellphones, iPods or any gadgets.

Finale

I know, that there are tons of lessons that you can learn from my aunt’s experience. However, by successfully applying these three lessons into your blogging career, I know few months from now, you’ll be successful and became better blogger than what you are now.

My best friend just lost her grandmother to cancer, though it was Lukimea, and they gave her two weeks to live as she couldn’t take the Chemotherapy as she had pnemonia. She died 6 days later. It affected me because it affected her…people…if you suspect you have cancer, or suspect anything…get help right away! Don’t wait, or people you love and care about may get hurt!!
