Got 3 emails today asking me what to do for them to learn how to blog.

And judging them through their question, we can say that these people are new to blogging. They might became interested in blogging because they learned that bloggers are now becoming wealthy. Well, that’s the main motivators so that people became interested to blog.

What is blog?

Before I tell you how to blog, I think you must understand first about blog. To define blog, Wikipedia has this definition:

 A weblog (usually shortened to blog, but occasionally spelled web log) is a web-based publication consisting primarily of periodic articles (normally in reverse chronological order). Although most early weblogs were manually updated, tools to automate the maintenance of such sites made them accessible to a much larger population, and the use of some sort of browser-based software is now a typical aspect of “blogging”.

Blog is of course a website. Yes! It’s one of the type of websites. And what has been said, it contains periodic articles arranged in reverse chronological order. The best example to this is the site you are reading now.

The parts of Blog

Usually, a blog contains 4 parts:

1. Header. It contains the title of the blog, description of the blog, the logo and sometimes the links to the pages like Home, About, Contact Us and Advertise.
2. Content. The Content part usually contains the title of the post and the post itself.
3. Sidebar. The sidebar is the place where other  information about your blog is placed especially the links to other important posts you have in your blog, like: Recent Posts, Top Posts, Categories, Archives, Advertisements, Ranking info and others.
4. Footer. It usually contains the copyright information of a blog.

How to blog?

Once you undertand what blog is and how it looks like, then let’s start now blogging. But of course, you can’t start blogging if you still don’t have blog. In other words, you must create first a blog. And here’s how:

1. Visit the Wordpress.Com or click here to create a Wordpress blog.
2. Fill up the form. The “username” for your username, “password” for your password, confirm for your password you typed at the “password” field, “email address” for your email address. Please take note that you must enter the real email address on the “email address” field. Remain checked the “Gimme a blog”.
3. Then follow more instructions.

Once you successfully created a Wordpress blog, then you can now start writing post for your blog. However, before you start writing post, you need to consider this quote:
