On my review of the FreezOne Internet, I mentioned that my hosting account is now close to PhP40,000.00. And this revelation made other bloggers scare of having a high traffic blog.
Two of our visitors commented:
Nika: Ouch. Ang laki naman ng binabayaran mo po. … Haha, hindi ko na pala papangarapin na dumame ang tumitingin ng blog ko. …(see comment here)
Dexter: Congratulation and more power.. But I am afraid if I will be having this traffic and subscriber … to spend 40T.. … (see comment here)
Dream To Own A High Traffic site
If you’d read my ABOUT page, you’ll notice that one of my goals is to own a site that caters 1,000,000 (1 million) readers per day.
I am still too far from that goal because my blog is currently having more or less 2,000 (2 thousand) visitors per day. But I am really positive that I will hit that goal by 2010. And who knows I will achieve that goal early as 2008, just like what happened with my goals on feed subscribers (read my posts: Feed Subscribers Marks 500, and Feed Subscribers Now 700+).
Expenses vs Blog Standing
One thing that everyone of you should understand is that your expenses is always directly proportional to your blog standing.
When I say, “Blog Standing”, what I mean is the rank of your blog versus the other blogs or websites that exist on the web through the Daily Traffic, Feed Subscribers, etc.. However, on this post, I will focus on the traffic of the blog if I will mention “Blog Standing”.
When I say, “Directly Proportional”, what I mean is that when [B] rises, [A] rises too and when [B] drops, [A] drops too.
Now, since expenses in blogging is directly proportional to the blog standing, then it also means that when the traffic of your blog rises, your expenses on blogging also rises, and when the traffic of your blog drops, your expenses in blogging also drops.
In other words, while my blog’s traffic is rising, so it is also expected that my expenses will increase too in the sense that the bandwidth on every hosting packages offered by web-hosts are limited.
No Reason to be Afraid of
Even if you’ll be spending thousands of Pesos (Philippine Currency) or even hundreds of thousands of Pesos for your blog, you should not be afraid of it because as your blog gets more traffic, you’re also earning much from it.
For example: This blog of mine is currently getting 2,000 viewers per day, however, in just one month, the month of September 2007, this blog earned more or less $460.00 from Adsense alone. But take note, that I am not monetizing the blog through Adsense alone, and I am using several ways of monetizing it.
Actually, earning $400 per month from 2000 visitors per day which is equal to 60000 visitors per month is still very low. However, I am not surprised with that because the adsense ads displayed on this blog are not so relevant and higher paying. However, that amount is already good enough.
What I really want to tell you is that, there is no reason to be afraid of spending thousands of money for your blog because you will earn much from your blog too.
To let you know, PhP40,000.00 (40 Thousand) per year is too small compared to your earning. With this business, you’re very much gaining, except if you don’t monetize your blog for reasons.
So, instead of being discouraged, why not be inspired to blog more and strive hard to gain more visitors and subscribers? Don’t forget that “losers never win“.

Hi,
2000 visitors per day is great. I am currently working on increasing my visitor count as well. My website below has over 9,000 pages and my adsense impressions are increasing each day.
