My FeedBurner stats looks so amazing. And I am glad that my posts about it (Feed Subscriber Marks 500, Feed Subscribers Now 700+) inspire others to work hard to gain more feed subscribers of their blogs.

Number of Subscribers

Two days ago, my feed subscribers number is already 700+, however as of writing this post the number has increased to 800+ as shown on the screenshot below:

It only shows that my effort in increasing my feed subscribers is really successful. In my several years of blogging, it’s my first time to experience increasing the feed subscribers from 200+ to 800+ in just few days of working for it.

But what are the reasons why I am working hard to gain more feed subscribers?

There are actually tons of advantages if your blog gains more feed subscribers. But I will discuss few of them here.

1. Traffic
2. Money

(1) Traffic

Many believe that feed subscribers only read your posts through the feed readers or through their emails only, and that these subscribers never visit your blog. However, by considering the stats shown below, it seems that the belief is not true.

By looking at that, you can immediately tell that among the readers who viewed your posts through the feed readers, some of them clicked on the links published with the posts.

In other words, your blog’s feed subscribers really visit your blog especially if you posted a link back to your interesting posts.

Let’s consider this: For example you have 2,000 daily visitors who don’t subscribe your feed, then you also have 1,000 feed subscribers. What if 50% of your feed subscribers, or 500 of them visit your blog through the links posted on your post? Well, that surely means that you have additional daily visitors of 500. Summing up, you have 2,500 daily visitors. And 2,500 daily visitors is already very good thing for your blog. Consider reading my post, “Should You Afraid of Having High Traffic Blog?”

(2) Money 

You already know that feed subscribers can be converted into as your daily visitors. And with that daily visitors, you can actually earn money from them.

If you have followed me here since March 2007, then you already know what my motto is: “Blog Traffic means Money“. That’s the main reason why I am aiming to own a site with 1,000,000 (1  million) daily visitors.

Remember that having a higher number of traffic coming into your blog really means high price of advertising spots on your blog.

Let’s say for example, your ad price is $2.5 CPM. What if you have 4,000 daily impressions? So, in 1 month you have 120,000 impressions. Since the price is per 1,000 impressions, so let’s divide 120,000 impressions by 1,000 impressions, which is equal to 120. Then 120 times the $2.5, your advertisers will pay you $122.50 for 1 month.

However, you are not earning money from your blog through the advertisers on your blog alone. You can even earn money with those advertisers interested to advertise at your feeds.

To let you know, since September 2007, an advertiser bought an ad space at my feed through the Text Link Ads.

I only got 1 advertiser at my feed but the amount he paid for the ad is very much interesting and is 400% higher than the amount of 1 text link ad.

Just imagine if your text link ads and feed-text link ads are both sold. With that you are already rich. But Adsense income is not yet considered on this post. What if you also earn thousands of dollars from the Adsense? Well, if you are a Filippino blogger like me, maybe in just few months you are already millionaire.
