Eli of the Everything-eli asked me this via email:

Good pm kuya Sel… Thanks for sharing tips sa blogging, really appreciated… May question lang ako..simpleng simple pero di ko mapagtuunan ng pansin.. how do you place the rectangle adsense sa post na naka wrap yung text? I’m planning to use that sa bidvertiser.. (since forever banned ako sa adsense sa everything=eli)…and other technique in placing adsense ads.

My Reply:

Thank you so much for asking me that question. I know that you’re very much knowledgeable on programming and webpage designing compared to me, but at least you gave me hint on what to write for this blog.

Just like what I said on my previous post, the adsense ad placement as shown on the screenshot below is definitely the best performing adsense placement on this blog. However, using this kind of placement, you need to consider the following:

Adsense

(1) The length of your post.

If placing the adsense ad on your blog as shown on the screenshot above, then you need to make sure that your posts should contain hundreds of words. The minimum number of words of your post is depending on the following:

  1. Width of your post. The wider your post is, the more words you need to write per post.
  2. Size of the font of your post. The smaller font you use for your post means the more number of words your post should have.

What I really mean is that you need to make sure that your post should be longer than the ad embedded on it (as shown on the image below), otherwise your blog will be looked like disordered.

Adsense

(2) The placement of the images embedded on your post.

There are times that you need to embed images on your post. In doing so, you can do the following options:

  1. The image should be displayed after the Adsense ad as shown on the image below:

    Adsense Placement

  2. If you want to display the embedded imaged before the content of your post, then you need to make sure that the image should fit on the vacant place, as shown by the image below:

    Adsense Placement

Placing The Adsense

There are actually 2 ways in placing the Adsense at the right side of your post:

(1) Using the DIV tag

On your style.css (stylesheet) file of your theme, insert this code:

.adsense {float:right; margin-left: 5px;}

And on your Single.PHP (Single) file of your theme, look for this code:

<?php the_content(’Read the rest of this entry »’); ?>

… and insert the code below just before the code above:

<div class=”adsense”>
insert your adsense code here
</div>

(2) Using the Table

In the Single.PHP (Single) file of your theme, look for the code:

<?php the_content(’Read the rest of this entry »’); ?>

… then insert the code below right before the code above:

<table align=”right”><tr><td>
insert your adsense code here
</td></tr></table>

The table code I gave you above is actually the old standard code. You can change that anyway into the latest standard code for creating table.

Finale

If you’re familiar with the HTML and PHP codes, then I’m sure you can follow what I instructed above. However, if you have the hard time doing what I told you above, you can contact me here for help.
